Sean Cuadra is an entrepreneur with experience in customer service, sales/marketing and event planning. Sean owns a business specializing in custom gift design and corporate branding. Sean helped raise 2 million for non-profit organizations in San Diego. He holds an undergraduate deree in Psychology from California State University, San Marcos.
Sean has been involved with Toys for Thailand since 2008 and has served as a board member. Sean has an interest in assisting at-risk and underrepresented groups. He enjoys spending time with his family and keeping up on the latest Apple technology.
Maria Miller is a Faculty Emeritus at Palomar College in the Behavioral Sciences Dept. She was a full-time educator for 35 years serving in various leadership positions, retiring in 2013. She holds two Masters degrees and is licensed as a Marriage and Family. She has extensive experience working with non-profit organizations.
Maria has been involved with Toys for Thailand since 2005. She served as Co-Director of IHC Toys for Thailand and Executive Director of Toys for Thailand, Inc. from 2012-2017.
Maureen Kelley was a lecturer in the Department of Rhetoric and Writing Studies at San Diego State University for almost twenty years. During that time, she also served as the Director of the Freshman Success Program for three years. She has both a B.A. and M.A. in English as well as a lengthy history in the legal field as a paralegal and a Marketing Director. Maureen has served as a volunteer on two Toys for Thailand humanitarian trips and is familiar with the scope of and individuals involved in the organization’s work.
Sasha Bilar founded Toys for Thailand after the December 2004 Asian Tsunami and served the organization as Co-Director and Director of Thailand Operations. Sasha earned a degree in Political Science and joined a Bangkok Media Firm to produce documentary shows for broadcast TV. Upon emigrating from Thailand to the United States, Sasha completed a Master’s Degree in Art & Design at California State University Fullerton. She is President and CEO of Spectrum ITC group. Sasha has guided the firm into Global Technology Consulting. Fluent in Thai and English, Sasha has worked as a volunteer translator helping the office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC) with UNICEF and Childline Thailand.
2018-19 Board Members
Paul Marshall is a senior systems engineer working in San Diego. He is also a Captain (O-6) in the US Navy Reserve, serving with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) where he supports collaborative research projects between the US Navy and Thailand’s academic, government and military research organizations. In his Navy role, CAPT Marshall has made over 40 trips to Thailand in the past decade and has established a large number of professional relationships there. He has organized and led teams of Navy volunteers at three community relations projects assisting a Thai school and an orphanage. He has also led volunteer efforts with the Navy’s Project Handclasp organization and the Navy League in Thailand. Paul served as a Toys for Thailand board member at the Small World Mae Hong Son Festival (2011-2017) and has been involved in supporting other non-profit organizations in the San Diego area.
MaryBeth Kellee is a realtor and owner of MBK Associates. Connecting people together is a gift that has been the cornerstone of her career both as a fundraiser as well as in the private sector. Mary Beth was named as Metro Agent of the Year (2017). She is an active member of Trustegrity, a platform for networking and collaboration in the San Diego Business community.
Linda Eldridge is the Director of Education and Career Development at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in San Diego, CA.
Ellen Pterudis is a designer/artist for Woodbridge Interiors. She is an active member of the North County Philanthropy Council. Ellen has been involved with Toys for Thailand for many years, serving as a volunteer at fundraising and social events.
