Three members of the Sing Tao Buddhist Association-USA visited Maehongson, Thailand (July 20-24, 2016) to see their Toys for Thailand donation in action. During their visit the group took roads trips to visit KhunYuam and Pai districts to meet the children and teachers at Buddhakaset, Wiang Nua and Ban YaPanae Schools.

The Sing Tao group was hosted by Dr. Chadapon Chaiya, school director of the King’s School who served as their guide and translator. Khun Archi (Chairote Khomthiya) from the Maehongson Education Association made arrangements for the group and coordinated the school projects which included two schools playgrounds and a computer lab.

Technology giant, QUALCOMM matches Toys for Thailand gift from Qcom engineer Jittra Jootar. The donation will connect remote Huay Pu Keng School and Long Neck Village (Maehongson,Thailand) with the outside world and provide solar panels and charger for telecommunication power. The T4T project will be completed by graduate students from the Dept. of Renewable Energy at Maejo University.

Toys for Thailand is hosting a Tribal Fashion and Gift Bazaar on Saturday Nov. 8th from 1pm-4pm at Seaside Center. Please come and enjoy an afternoon of home cooked Thai food, Thai massage, a Hill Tribal Fashion Show, and a gift bazaar featuring ethnic handicrafts and unique gift designs.
