Changing Lives with Computer Literacy

Thank you Marilyn and Allen Souchek and Jittra Jootar with Qualcomm for making it possible for Toys for Thailand (T4T) to provide a computer lab for the 187 Tribal students at MaePing School in Pai, Thailand.

On May 20, 2019 Maria Miller and her 22 year old nephew (Giacamo) traveled to MaePing School.

The lab has sixteen computers and is in use every hour of the school day where students learn basic computer literacy and have access to distance education services. Computer literacy is the knowledge and skills required for basic use of computer hardware, software and the Internet.

Not one of the MaePing Tribal students has access to a smart phone or computer at home. Some of the MaePing students lack electricity and running water in their homes.

MaePing students are poor and disadvantaged in many ways but through your gift they will develop computer skills integral to all areas of study and employment. The ability to use a computer is on the same level of importance as reading and writing skills.
